What according to you is effective communication? Is it transferring the information, and giving instructions to the employees? No, communication is way more than that, it does not matter what you say, but how you express it has major consequences.

You are a leader; employees will notice your every action. Say no to yelling, arrogance, and ignorance. They are the obstacles in the path of communications. Communication is one of the hardest skills for every leader. They have to mind their words and body language.

    Disseminating the information:

Can people understand what task they need to know without having the proper knowledge of the instructions and the goal? You have to explain the process, what is needed to be done, and why it is done?

What will be the consequences if you not communicate with them? Needless to say, you will not get the desired result in wasting time and effort of all.

    Authenticity:

As a leader, you have to show your real personality to the employees. Do not fake your side of the story. It will not work for a long time. One day people will come to know about your behaviour and traits. Don’t mask your true self.

You haven’t earned the degree from the renowned institutions, or you may have belonged to a poor family. Use these examples to motivate others rather than hiding it and telling people hoax stories. People love and admire real.

    Get personal:

Ample of people may be working with you. Some may leave in a short time, and some may develop long-term relations with your organization. How is the idea to know each other better? Think about it. You will get positive results.

Gone are those days when being bossy was considered as a thing of pride. Believe it; no one will give a damn to your attitude. It is not about how much you know each other personally, but how much you care for others.

    Effective Listening:

Welcome to other perspectives with an open heart. Before giving instructions, listen to others. Communication is not a one-way process. You are addressing the team; you have explained the entire process. What will you do next? Say thanks and leave the room or encourage people to ask questions and talk about that. Later is the best way of communication.

Effective communication is imperative, both in the office and in life. Great leaders like Christopher Kape, President of JAMCO Capital Partners and others make sure they are heard and understood, but they also know the importance of listening. Communication is a two-way street, and making the most of it will have your company zooming forward instead of pumping the breaks. In 2001, Chris Kape Vancouver based business leader founded JAMCO Capital Partners Inc., an early-stage private equity investment and advisory firm that has provided private equity and strategic advisory services to many companies.

    Inspiration:

Whatever you say will leave the impact on the people. But above all, your body language speaks louder than words. Before making others comprehend your perception, mind your facial language, and hands and legs movement.

Some of the body languages may send the wrong message to the people creating turmoil and stressed situation.

According to a survey conducted by Bain Research, “Inspired employees are more than twice as productive as satisfied employees.”
