Are you feeling creative and want to get your hands on planting vegetables? Yeah, you are on track. It is often best to get creative in a productive way. Gardening, if done out of love and passion, is scientifically proven to contribute to happiness and fulfilled life longevity. So, you intend to grow your vegetables, even in nursery pots, and you would like to know some things to be mindful of. Let’s get right on track.

    Find a good spot:

It is pertinent to locate the right spot for your comfort. Since you are doing this for pleasure, you want to make sure your home garden is not far from the water source, for irrigation’s sake. You should consider a location where there is a moderate amount of sunshine covering the area. Be sure to select a place where pests won’t be a problem. Alternatively, you can invest in cheap security parameters such as a wooden or netted fence. Once that is settled, on to the next.

What do you want to plant?

Different vegetables have different caring routines, but it would be best if you got ones whose caring processes are the same or almost the same. Do you want to grow lettuce or tomatoes? Spinach? Or are you contemplating chili peppers? All of them are fine. When you make up your mind about this early, you will be able to make the appropriate provision, including what type of nursery pots to get.

    Preparing your sand:

If you have open earth in your home or site, then you can make a sand bed. If the soil is not naturally loamy then you can dig trenches or dig the earth to a reasonable depth and get sand from somewhere else and fill it into the pit. You can mix it with a bit of compost and wet it. You can water it twice a day to make it ready for planting. Alternatively, you can make straw bales or growing pots and bags. If your compound is concrete, using nursery pots and some other sand holders is the surest way to go.

    Sourcing for seeds:

Whilst determining what you want to plant, you must make up your mind on the kinds of species you prefer. So, when going to a botanical garden or nursery or some other place where you can get the seed, specify the kind you want. You don’t want something stressful for you, especially if you have other things to do apart from gardening.

    Planting:

Now that you have everything you need, go on to plant your seeds into the prepared bed. Plant and watch over them. Conduct irrigation when necessary, depending on the weather. Thin or prune as you deem appropriate.
