If you are arranging a trip to Bandung, we suggest you visit many Indonesian town’s amazing national parks and volcanic websites around the ring of fire. Though some grueling travel is required to get to those areas, a day excursion is more than sufficient for at least one of these destinations.

Below we will inform you of 3 tourist Read more here destinations that you must visit when you go to Bandung.

  1. Juanda Forest Park

High in the hills of Dago Pakar, the Juanda Forest Park is a 590-hectare conservation area that consists mainly of different scenic paths. It protects you from exotic pine woods full of beautiful flowers and plants to waterfalls and ponds. The highlights here include a historic Dutch Cave (Goa Belanda), which was created throughout the colonialist era of Indonesia — fully pitch black save for the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. Inside, the walls are grand and cold, serene yet menacing — an aftereffect of its days as a prison center.

Then, only 400 meters, you’ll find the Arabian Western Cave (Goa Jepang), constructed in 1942 through the Japanese occupation of Java to be a military headquarters. Even though it’s quite a long walk, all is forgotten as you depart the caves and finish the remainder of the Juanda Park trail towards Maribaya, in which you could just place a comparatively infrequent Macaque monkey.

  1. Tangkuban Perahu

Tangkuban Perahu is a large stratovolcano 30km north of Bandung. Therefore, it can take around 2 hours to arrive using a hired van and driver. The last time it erupted was in 2015, so it is certainly an active volcano. A remarkably popular tourist site for its immense crater, you are ready to walk all of the ways across the southern rim to receive unique angles to your trip photographs.

Do not overlook the hot water springs farther down both sides of the volcano. For them, you need to walk around a kilometer downhill beyond spectacular flora, big moss-covered stones, big-rooted Puspa trees, and a huge array of orchids. When you are down in the hot springs, then don’t hesitate to rest your tired toes in the hot, warm water heaters or see boiling water burst from the ground in different areas. When you are ready to go back, the walk back up could be daunting to the inexperienced climber, more so due to the warm temperatures than because of the steepness, so remain hydrated and take it slow!

  1. Kawah Putih

The furthest site from Bandung is the sulphuric lake of Kawah Putih. About 50km down south, make certain to leave early in the morning to avoid the traffic. But as soon as you arrive in this distinctive volcanic area, you will forget all this frustration. Once more, the flora surrounding the lake is stunning. A vast array of exotic trees, plants, and flowers are available around the aquamarine blue sea, and if you are there on a bright afternoon, it makes for incredible images.

The lake is located high up across the side of Mount Patuha. Also, 2430 meters over sea level can get chilly. And be careful, avoid the highly polluted waters. If the odor from yellowish sulfur becomes too overwhelming, you will find sellers around that market dust masks to protect you. After that, head farther down or up throughout the federal playground of Kawah Putih, in which it is possible to see eagles, owls, monkeys, and forest pigs. Panthers, leopards, and pythons also have been observed in the nearby forest too.
