Why good leadership is important in an organization

We all know leadership is a crucial aspect of the success of any organization.  Without effective leadership in place, no organization can work efficiently. Every organization is made up of a group of people that are expected to achieve certain objectives and to work towards a vision, hence it is important to control and take care of this group of people.

As famously quoted by President Ronald Reagan, “The greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things. He is the one that gets the people to do the greatest things.”

It is no surprise then that most employees do not perform up to their full capacity without additional help or support.  And  when managers use their leadership skills to inspire and motivate their team, they were able to give it their one hundred percent. It is not wrong to say that leadership is the driving force behind the growth and success of any business.

For instance, one can mimic the leadership skills of Luigi Liscio Alto. In addition to leading Toronto’s Alto Properties, Luigi Liscio worked in the Telecommunications industry for 35 years before retiring from the position.

The importance of leadership is reflected in the following points:

Helps Influence the Behavior of People:

Good leaders are always able to produce the best results through their team.  In fact, good leadership casts a positive influence on the team, bringing out the best in them by motivating and helping them to achieve personal goals. This is useful for the individual and the organization in the long run.

Helps Facilitate Changes:

These days we are living in a rapidly changing world and the business environment is no exception. As the work environment is bound to change rapidly too, a strong leader ensures that changes are accepted readily without much resistance. This also ensures that there is stability at the workplace and that following a change things run smoothly.

Helps Solve Conflicts Effectively:

No organization is conflict proof, and where there are people conflicts are bound to happen. A leader in an organization thus plays the critical role of a mediator in wake of any disputes. A leader must be able to provide a conducive work environment and ensures that any conflict is solved in a timely fashion.

Conclusion:

Effective leadership is indispensable for the growth of any business organization. With a positive leader at the helm, the chances of its success increase and in turn the organization can achieve great feats.
