Overview
Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology, Indore continues the tradition of the Institute of Medical Sciences. It was founded in 2009 and is now one of the region’s top institutes. It offers Engineering courses approved by AICTE.
Admissions are strictly merit-based and rely on the scores obtained in the entry examination The College offers engineering courses at the undergraduate level, postgraduate level and diploma level.
A recruitment cell and training/finishing school is available on campus. It helps to ensure that at the time of graduation the graduates are very employable. The Institute creates highly skilled engineers by providing both theoretical and practical industry exposures.
The Institute is the first in the country to host the ISL, which trains students on modern embedded systems technology. Furthermore, SAIT has been recognized as a center of excellence in networking technologies, such as the Oracle © Workforce Development Program and Data64 Excellence Center in cyber forensics by the Cisco © Networking Academy.
Admission
The institute is offering B.E. Degree in five fields: Physical, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Electronics and Communications.
Admission to B.E. is administered by CBSE on the basis of merit in JEE Main.
Candidates who wish to apply for entry to any B.E. specialization must have completed the 10 + 2 standard test with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects. They must also obtain an aggregate mark of at least 50 percent in order to qualify for admission.
Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology offers M.Tech in 3 different specializations: Industrial Engineering and Design, Computer Science and Structural Engineering at the post graduate level.
M.E. Admission / M.Tech program assessment is administered by both the Indian Institute of Science and the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), based on the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).
Faculty
The instructors are highly skilled professionals. And they are so down to the earth and can blend quite well with their students to ensure learning is interesting. The College has completed 44 years of glory. It owes it splendor to the staff’s sincere dedication. Best technicians give the students rigorous training to provide the right skills.
Course curriculum overview
The curriculum of the college aims at the overall development of the student with comprehensive knowledge of the subject. It focuses primarily on research and analysis to help students understand the concepts.
SAIT, Indore Placement
Sri Aurobindo Technology Institute (SAIT) offers all its students placement support. The unique placement cell carries out the students ‘ grooming sessions routinely in areas such as soft skills, interview skills and developing competences that make them fit for industry. In recent years, the college has seen the surge of some well-known recruitment firms walking in for placements. Many of the students are placed at very good companies, such as Intel, Wipro, and many others.
Loan/ scholarship provisions
All SC / ST, OBC and PWD students are eligible to receive a scholarship subject to the terms and conditions provided. The other grant offered by the Institute is for minority student members who belong to Muslims / Sikhs / Jain castes. A loan facility can be accessed from all nationalized bank branches. SAIT assists students in making use of loan services.
Infrastructure
The college has a large and fully functional building. The premises are so calm that the students ‘ learning mood is charged automatically. The labs are fully equipped and the campus is complete.
Accommodation
SAIT is one of Indore’s rarest institution providing Girls & Boys Hostel facility for students from various country towns and cities (Outside Indore).
The Campus has 3 Boys Hostels and 2 Girls Hostels for all on a first-come first-served basis.
There are two, three and four bedded comfortable rooms in all hostels, equipped with all basic amenities and a hygienic food café.
SAIT Finishing School Initiative
Every year, a large number of engineering students graduate, but a recent study has shown that the number of employable graduates is significantly lower. This can be traced primarily to a limited contact with the industry and lack of soft skills.
SAIT has created an innovative in-house Institute, named SAIT Finishing School, to address all these issues. The SAIT Finishing School is a private engineering college in India that is one of its kind initiatives. It is a learner’s center with the main aim of creating and implementing modules, programs, short courses and capsules that will make students “Industry Ready” and to impart skills and knowledge as needed by industry for job matching. In addition to technological competencies, the graduation school will provide students with the opportunity to develop soft, management and communication skills.
The Institute and its faculty work constantly to increase the “employability score” of the SAIT graduates. SAIT Finishing School curriculum is developed in collaboration with the Corporate Advisory Board, the Centre, and other influential industry professionals.
