What Is Clarifying Shampoo: should we use it?

Have you ever noticed that sometimes your hair feels tired, looks dull, burdened, quickly becomes dirty just a few hours after washing or even immediately after washing your hair?

This comes from the accumulation of dust, product leftovers such as conditioners, excess of shampoo and others. Ordinary shampoos cannot cope with such pollution, and therefore you need clarifying shampoo.

The goals of clarifying shampoo are to remove all harmful accumulations, give the hair a new impulse and restore its original shine and health. This is a deep cleaning product. By the way, the owners of very oily hair can appreciate the benefits of these shampoos. This particular shampoo can be a real treasure for them in the world of cosmetics because it removes all sebum from our hair very carefully.

How clarifying shampoo works?

The shampoo penetrates deep into the hair, reveals scales, exfoliates dead skin cells, like a scrub, washes locks from the inside, thus, how cleansing takes place. This occurs due to the presence of clarifying high pH and sulfates in the shampoo, which ideally remove impurities, but at the same time can harm in case of frequent use.

Indications for use of clarifying shampoo!

Everything depends on the lifestyle you lead. For the average person, clarifying shampoo can be used 1-2 times a month. Although there are several recommendations:

  • If you use hard water to wash your hair, as well as a lot of styling products, then it is recommended to use clarifying shampoo once or even twice a week.
  • Coloured hair should be washed with deep cleansing shampoo only once a month. But do not overdo it, because it can wash out the colour. Therefore, you should start using it minimum a week or even a month after colouring.
  • If you visit the pool quite often, then to get rid of the chlorine, you need to clean your head with clarifying shampoo approximately 2-3 times a week.
  • Washing your hair with soft water, without using conditioners and styling products, allows you to apply clarifying shampoo once a month.

Always remember that clarifying shampoo only cleanses, does not moisturize and does not nourish hair, so conditioner is obligatory in your rithual! It doesn’t require any special conditioners, but still it is highly recommended to use products such as conditioners and sprays from the same collection as clarifying shampoo, to provide your hair with a full range of treatment.
